Originating from grape varieties grown in the Central Valley, the Viña Mancura wine line, Etnia, consists of young and expressive wines that strongly represent their origins and are ideal for those beginning to explore the world of wine.
Viña Mancura was born as a tribute to Chilean roots, traditions, and origins, aiming to preserve the country’s winemaking heritage. Its name honors the mythological figure of the condor – Mancura – in the Andes Mountains, whose legend says that during the day, it soars high in the mountains, bringing the sun that provides strength, warmth, and energy to our valleys. At dusk, with its majestic flight, Mancura brings the freshness of the sea, allowing us to enjoy one of the best conditions in the world for producing high-quality wines.
Likewise, Viña Mancura expresses deep respect and admiration for the care of the land. In fact, it was the first winery to be officially certified with the Wines of Chile Sustainability Code, covering vineyards, winery, and community.
Among its most emblematic wines is the Etnia line, a portfolio of young and expressive wines, ideal for those beginning to discover the world of wine.
Sourced from Central Valley vineyards, Etnia consists of seven varieties:
- Cabernet Sauvignon: A ruby-red wine with notes of strawberries and ripe plums. On the palate, it has soft tannins and a pleasant, sweet finish. It pairs perfectly with red and white meats.
- Carmenère: Displays notes of blackberries, plums, spices, and chocolate. It has a fruity profile, silky tannins, and a pleasant finish.
- Merlot: Stands out for its deep ruby-red color, filled with aromas of black fruits and delicate hints of spices and ground black pepper. It is well-balanced, with velvety tannins that define its charm.
For white wine varieties, the portfolio includes:
- Sauvignon Blanc: An elegant wine with a yellow-green hue. It offers enticing aromas of tropical fruits and white flowers. On the palate, it is fresh, well-balanced, and finishes refreshingly crisp.
- Chardonnay: Features tropical notes such as peach, melon, and pineapple. It is smooth and rounded on the palate but finishes with a crisp and refreshing touch.
- Moscatel: Made from old vine grapes from the Itata Valley, this wine presents floral notes and hints of citrus. It has great acidity, balance, and an enveloping sweetness.
- Etnia Rosé: A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Syrah, this bright pink wine offers notes of red fruits and sweet aromas. It is young, refreshing, medium-bodied, and has delicious acidity, making it ideal for pairing with appetizers, salads, Japanese cuisine, and fruit-based desserts.
